Workshop in Opařany
The Puppets spent the end of the holidays in the hospital together with the children in the psychiatric hospital in Opařany.
The theme this year was Aesop's Fables and it worked very well. Thirteen enthusiastic children of various ages threw themselves into work right from the start and all lasted until the premiere, which turned out to be wonderful. First, everyone chose their fable (About the Fox and the Stork, About the Two Crabs, About the Field Mouse and the House Mice, About the Hare and the Tortoise, About the Moon and its Mother, About the Mouse and the Lion) and we started to learn the song of Voskovec and Werich Once the wise Aesop is carried home from the forest. The next day we made puppets and masks (with the generous support of the wonderful nurses).
To each his own, some made more costumes. The next day, rehearsals were already taking place and everything was finally completed with the premiere. Fellow patients and staff came to see, and the applause at the end was really sincere. We were very happy to be able to give out t-shirts to the children, because it will remind the children of our beautiful moments spent together over wise fables.
