Prague 16/11/2018: Puppets in the hospital joins the European project Night of Theaters for the first time this year. In hospitals in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, they visit patients after dark with an exceptional program! The team members have prepared special theater visits for young and old bedridden viewers. They are going to transform the sleepy weekend atmosphere in the patients' rooms, but also through big shows in the playrooms and social rooms of the hospitals.
"Symbolically, we start just after dark on November 17. already at 5:11 p.m. and then we will sail through individual hospital departments. At the weekend, hospitals are especially sad and boring. Those who can at least a little are released on Friday, so every second bed is empty. The number of examinations is also smaller, so the time drags on even more than usual. When the last visitors leave the hospital, he seems to stop completely. We are sure that this Saturday after dark we will spin the hands of the clock to the fullest!” says Marka Míková, the principal of Loutek in the hospital.
On Saturday we will visit hospitals in Prague, Brno and Ostrava. In the Motol University Hospital, in addition to visits to children's patients, we are preparing an exclusive preview of the new production of The Little Prince in the Aftercare Center for the local seniors.
You can also get to know the work of Loutek in the hospital. It is the story of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry that we will present at the premiere on December 1 at the Minor Theater as part of the pre-Christmas presentation of our work to the public. "We join the Night of Theaters project, even though our boards, which mean the world, are mostly linoleum, which smells of disinfection," Míková adds.
